7th June Before this date, the residents of Belgrade could only talk and
speculate about a new opera in the city. On that day, they were
in a position to see something concrete. An exhibition was
organized of the costumes from the first opera that was to be
performed on MADLENIANUM stage, the SECRET MARRIAGE
by Domenico Cimarosa. The author of the costumes was
Milanka Berberovi?. The display was presented in the boutique
»Obligo« in the Zepter Palace.
July MADLENIANUM gets its stage. It was formerly a stage of the
National Theatre in Zemun, to be thereafter called
MADLENIANUM Chamber Opera.
