29th January In Sifnios hall was held an audition for the dancers in the ballet ''''Wolfgang Amadé''''. The Austrian choreographer, Renato Zanella, held an audition that aroused a great interest of practically all dancers from Belgrade, so that over thirty dancers participated in it. After the class given by Marija Jankovi?, Renato Zanella decided to assign the main roles in the spectacle Wolfgang Amadé to Konstantin Kostjukov, Dejan Kolarov, Ana Pavlovi?, Mila Dragi?evi? and Milan Rus.
30th January In the building of Madlenianum Opera and Theatre ''''Madlenianum Club Bookshop'''' started its operation.
13th February Madlenianum and Society of Friends of Madlenianum organized the Valentine’s Day Party. On that occasion, after the performance of Mozart’s opera ''''Cosi fan tutte'''', a tango evening was organized. The best dancing couple was awarded the book '''' How Rej and Hela each other loved'''' by. Teodora Suji?.
28th March On the stage BEL ETAGE, there was the premiére of the drama FRIDA KAHLO, by Sanja Domazet, in the directing of Ivana Vuji?. The dramaturgist was Slavenka Milovanovi?, the scenographer Kosta Bunuševac, the costume designer Dušica Kneževi?, the choreographer Dunja Mahor?i?, and the main roles were interpreted by Dobrila Stojni?, Vanja Markovi?, Slobodan Bešti?, Vanja Ejdus. This was an occasion to promote the space of Bel Etage as a new stage, and extra tickets were demanded for for the performance. After the performance, the audience continued socializing at the cocktail given in MADLENIANUM FOYER.
28th April On the stage of Madlenianum there was the premiére of the drama The Cabinet Minister'' Wife, performed by National Theatre of the Republic Srpska from Banjaluka. Svetlana Ceca Bojkovi? interpreted the title role.
8th May Premiére of the opera LA TRAVIATA BY Giuseppe Verdi. Conductor Stanko Jovanovi?, directing and mise-en-scène by the guest from Russia, from St. Petersburg, Yuri Alexandrov, and scenography and costume design was made by Vyacheslav, also the guest from St. Petersburg.
31st May Premiére of the ballet WOLFGANG AMADÉ, by the choreographer Renato Zanella, Director of the Vienna State Opera Ballet, in scenography by Christian Attersee, Austrian painter and costume design by Jordi Roig from Spain.
15th July The production of MADLENIANUM Opera and Theatre and BELEF Center brought Aeschylus'' PROMETHEUS BOUND, the most famous Greek drama and the symbol of dramatic creativeness in general, back to stage after forty-two years. Stevan Bodroža did directing, scenography was made by Igor Vasiljev, costume design by Maja Mirkovi?, and Branislav Le?i?, ?ur?ija Cveti?, Stefan Kapi?i?, Aleksandar ?urica, Vladica Milosavljevi? and others played the main roles.
5th October Première of Ronald Harwood’s drama QUARTET directed by Miloš Jagodi?. Roles: Ružica Soki?, ?ur?ija Cveti?, Ivan Bekjarev, Miodrag Radovanovi? - Mrgud. Scenography: Aleksandar Veljanovi?, costume design: Milica Grbi?. Drama Quartet is one of the most performed Harwood’s dramas. At present it is played in America and Europe in more than seven languages. Originally created as a homage to the deceased conductor George Sholti, the play Quartet may be said to be a melancholic history of opera, with a reminiscence of everything that inexorably follows opera: gossip, intrigues, singers’ capriciousness and self-gratification.
15th October One of the greatest contemporary American poets, an American and a Serb, Charles Simi?, came to Serbia after 25 years. A reputable writer, a winner of Pulitzer and many other awards, had a first meeting with the public and the press.
14th November A member of the National Academy of Science, David Albahari, was a host of a very well visited literary evening in the space of Bel Etage, promoting his book of children prose "Stamps" in the edition of the Zepter Book World. The participants were: Mihajlo Panti?, a literary critic, Radmila Me?anin, the editor of the book and the author. During the promotion of the book, there was organized an exposition of the stamps with chess motifs from the Post Museum.
